Discounts for transit and taxi

Thanks to the wonderful people at my support group, I found out about a really useful service for people with disabilities, including dementia and anyone who cannot take regular transit unassisted.

The Taxi Saver Program allows people with disabilities to use taxis at half price! There is no additional charge for a companion traveling with them. That will be really useful if there's ever a time when her car isn't available for someone to drive her.

My mom also qualifies for HandyDART, which is like a door-to-door bus service that you can call ahead to order. That will be helpful to get her to places where there is no bus stop close by, and when we don't want to pay the price of a taxi.

I highly recommend these for caregivers to check out.
