My mother has been on Cipralex for about 2 months now. It is starting to work. Cipralex is an anti-depressant and was prescribed to help minimize her anxiety attacks.
She was having up to 3 or 4 serious anxiety attacks a day. It was terrible -- she was obviously suffering, and it was very hard to deal with her. She could not handle most common interactions, such as being in a public place, understanding her daily schedule, and even having meaningful conversation. Often she seemed to get anxiety attacks for no apparent reason. It even affected our ability to provide care for her at times, and is a contributing factor to our own anxiety as caregivers.
But since the Cipralex began working, she has only had about 2 anxiety attacks a week. There are still some bad days, usually due to her confusion issues, but it's eally quite amazing how this drug (in combination with the Ebixa) has been making her so much more calm and focused.
