Really relinquishing my obligations!

So!

After spending Saturday recuperating from that long day on Friday, I woke up Sunday morning to some blood spotting. After what I thought would be a quick checkup telling me nothing was wrong, I was instead told my cervix was 3 or 4cm dilated, and I was to be put on immediate hospital bed rest!

I am writing from the hospital bed now. I will be here until the baby arrives. It could be days or weeks! (My due date is January 1st).

Due to this turn of events, I can now really really not involve myself with issues surrounding my mother any more...at least not until I have an established home routine with our baby, and I am feeling strong enough emotionally.

I have to let go of it all and trust that my siblings can handle it on their own. I feel conflicted about it -- partly relieved, but man, what a way to get out of an unpleasant job, eh? ;)

I now have to focus on entirely on the remainder of this high-risk pregnancy and my baby. I will continue blogging, but not here. For the time being, I will be posting updates about our pregnancy and birth at my blog on Vox. Please feel free to follow it.

If I have any other updates about my mother, I will post them here, but I expect to be completely out of the loop for the time being.
